In the prosecutor’s report, Eddie Irizarry was killed for sitting in the driver’s seat of the vehicle carrying a knife. But there was a body camera that showed two officers pulling over Eddie for a driving violation. Later one of the officers fires multiple shots at him.
Surprisingly two days after the shooting incident the police suddenly changed the statement on the shooting. The statement shows that Mr. Irizzarry stepped out of his vehicle and rushed at the police holding a knife.
Philadelphia prosecutors revealed the body camera footage where we can clearly see that Mr. Irizzarry was sitting in the driver’s seat without doing any unethical activity when the officer opened fire.
Police said,
Investigators are working to determine how the false account of the incident emerged”
The union representing the Philadelphia police officers asked the people to reserve the judgment until all the evidence was presented during the trial. Mr. Dial who shot Eddie was released on $500,000 bail. On 26th September he is appearing in court for a preliminary hearing.
