In order to understand the vast implications of Artificial Intelligence, Google has now launched the Project of Digital Futures.
This initiative has been taken to gain a perspective on the different sectors – including civil society, academia, and public policy. These are effectively going to throw some light on the challenges and opportunities of Artificial Intelligence.
This is initially a twenty million dollars fund that is being managed by Google.org – they are greatly committed in providing grants to the various academic institutions.
Google also greatly believes that Artificial Intelligence has vast amounts of potential in revolutionizing the different aspects of the life of humans. It can very well range from urban planning to healthcare.
The technology also raises questions regarding misinformation, security and fairness amongst a lot of other concerns.
The concerned project though continues to be committed towards a very responsible development of AI. It has a vast and comprehensive set of principles regarding AI. There’s also a governance team that is set to monitoring the whole thing.
